Mu Epsilon Theta is a national organization formed on Catholic principles to unite college women by promoting academics, leadership, community service, and moral and spiritual well-being.
Mu Epsilon Theta was founded by Patricia Perez, Maria Alcocer, and Evelyn Greenfield. The decision date to organize Mu Epsilon Theta was October 21, 1986. Through God’s guidance, the three founders had a dream and on that day, it became a reality. This was the Alpha Class of the Alpha Chapter. Mu Epsilon Theta was founded as a local sorority and on January 16, 1987, Mu Epsilon Theta was officially recognized by the University of Texas at Austin as a UT organization.
